Creme's and Liquids

In addition to our extensive dose forming department, ProTec is pleased to offer liquid filling in volumes 1 oz to 1 gallon. We have equipment to handle nearly any type of lotion, creme or liquid, even thick frothy liquids.  Our piston filler is equipped to handle liquids of a thicker type such as vegetable oil, syrup, etc. We also possess an overflow filler that is perfect for frothy or foamy products. All of the liquid fillers are stainless steel and some are heated and pressurized for nearly any application. All weights and ingredients are verified by Quality Assurance inspectors as well as department supervisors before they are mixed or filled to guarantee that they meet claims.

Capsules, Tablets and Powders

Our Merrill Slat Scan packaging lines are capable of speeds in excess of 200 bottles of capsules or tablets per minute. Equipped with Lakso cottoners, Kaps-all high speed cappers, and CVC Hawk pressure sensitive labelers. We commonly fill 85,000 bottles per 8 hour shift on each individual line.

We have two smaller lines capable of 40-50 bottles per minute which is perfect for medium sized runs, as well as numerous semi-automated pieces of packaging equipment for very small runs.

Every packaging line has a resident Quality Assurance inspector and department supervisor to verify sanitation, counts, label, lot numbers, employee cleanliness, and packaging components to guarantee a quality finished product. Department supervisors must verify weights and sanitation before any material is blended. Our powder mixing capabilities exceed 3000 lbs per 8 hour shift (depending on product type and mixing times).

ProTec Lab is proud to possess two 20-cubic ft Patterson Kelly V-Blenders. Both have a solids agitation bar and stainless steel construction. ProTec Lab also has a 2-cubic foot Hobart Rotary Mixer for smaller applications. Quality Assurance inspectors review the accuracy of the pre-measured ingredients.
